For the second time in less than two days, a motorcyclist has been killed in a traffic crash in Oakland County. This most recent incident was reported at approximately 2:40 a.m. A motorcyclist going upward of 130 mph down a street in Los Angeles' West Hills neighborhood Thursday afternoon died after crashing into another vehicle.
Men are significantly more likely to lose their lives in a motorcycle accident. In fact, while 5,112 men died in motorcycle accidents in 2020, just 460 females lost their lives during that same year.

- The majority of motorcyclist fatalities occurred on urban roads (66%).
- Most fatalities occurred in good weather (94%).
- More fatalities occurred during daytime (50%).
- Most crashes involved other vehicles (80%).
